6- 11 Age Group
A fantastic program for young goalkeepers, girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 16 years old of all abilities. The course is structured into five categories:
Handling
Shot Stopping
Footwork
Fundamentals of crossing
1 v 1 situations
Distribution
The course will be coached by Centre of Excellence and Academy coaches who specifically work with goalkeepers from 6 years old to 1st team experience. The goalkeepers will be split into small groups depending on age and ability to allow each player to gain maximum knowledge and improvement.
All of our coaches are FA and UEFA qualified with full CRB checks.
This is a great opportunity for young goalkeepers to sample coaching of Academy level and to gain confidence and improved ability to take into their weekly games.
Any goalkeeper who is identified as having potential will be invited to an Invite only camp and may be recommended to professional local clubs.
12 - 16 Age Group
This age group is vital to a goalkeepers success, the caters for players who are making the transition form 7 a side football to 11 a side football and for goalkeepers who are preparing to make the step in to senior football. The sessions that are implemented by Chris Phillips Goalkeeper coaching are designed to cater for small groups, so that the participants can get as much from each session as possible. The quality of delivery and the structure of each session is designed around the Football Associations Long Term Player Development Model. Players of different ages have to work at different areas of the technical aspects of the game, we have identified how to differentiate effectively between goalkeepers. A Goalkeeper will not be placed in a group with players of the same age if they are physically, mentally, socially and technically able to progress further, they will be advanced to work with goalkeepers of the same ability.
As a coaching team we are here to deliver to the high-test possible standard as well as be there for players and parents a like to answer questions and answer any queries.
This is a fantastic programme for any young, up and coming goalkeeper who is keen to learn and have fun.
